How do I export my data from 1tap?

Export your 1tap receipts and invoices as a CSV or PDF report, and share it with your accountant.

You can export your receipts and invoices from 1tap as a CSV or PDF report, then share the file with your accountant. This article covers exporting from 1tap receipts, 1tap tax, and 1tap online.

Export your expenses in 1tap receipts

To export your expenses in 1tap receipts:

  1. Open 1tap receipts.

  2. Tap Reports.

  3. Tap the download button in the top right corner.

  4. Choose a format: PDF Image Export, CSV Export, or Tax Form.

  5. Choose a tax period and enter the email address you want the file sent to. Select Other Tax Years for data from more than two years ago.

  6. Tap Export.

1tap emails you a download link shortly after. If you don't see it, check your spam folder.

Export your income in 1tap tax

Important: 1tap tax is only available for UK users.

To export your income in 1tap tax, use the CSV and PDF export option.

  1. Open 1tap tax.

  2. Tap the wheel icon in the top right corner.

  3. Tap CSV and PDF Export.

  4. Choose a tax period.

1tap confirms the export was successful and emails you a download link shortly after.

Export your data in 1tap online

To export your data in 1tap online:

  1. Go to 1tap online and log in with your 1tap account.

  2. Select My Expenses or My Invoices, depending on what you want to export.

  3. Select Export.

  4. Choose a tax period, then CSV and PDF Export.

  5. Choose to have the file emailed to you or download it directly to your computer.

What's included in your export

1tap offers two report formats: a CSV file with all your data, and a PDF with images of your receipts or invoices.

For receipts, the CSV export includes the date, submission date, supplier's name, item total, and expense category. It also includes the submission method, tags, notes, and a link to the receipt's photo.

For invoices, the CSV export includes the date, submission date, invoice reference number, client, item total, tags, and notes.

The PDF export contains all your receipts or invoices for the chosen tax period as images.

Note: On the Prime Max plan, the CSV export also includes a Tax Total column showing amounts with and without VAT.

Share your data with your accountant

To share your 1tap data with your accountant, export it as a CSV or PDF file and send it to their email address.
